THE EGRESS PROS® STORY

In 2013 Glen Dauman, a General Contractor on Long Island, went to watch his son a volunteer firefighter at a training event. Glen watched as his son trained in a smoke house basement fire simulation.

During this event, his son and others panicked and fell to the floor.

Glen started to analyze this situation; The good news is this was only a training event. The scary thought is:

What if the basement fire was real? How would my family get out? How would the first responders get in?

Unbeknownst to Glen, (and so many others) there is a Federal Code IRC code R310 Emergency escape and rescue opening required. Glen & his lifelong friend Randy Goldbaum have always wanted to go into business together. Both coming from two different backgrounds it did not appear the business venture they have dreamed about would be achieved.  That all changed once Glen told Randy about the Federal Code and the solution…
